Caring for persons with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia is much different than accommodating the needs of residents without memory impairment.

We offer 4 training programs, which we designed to meet every budget:
1) In-service (2 hours) – An educational overview is provided covering the basics of caring for residents with dementia and includes a Q&A session. We offer a variety of in-service workshops, which are appropriate for all levels of staff.
2) One-Day Training – This session is more in-depth and covers sub-topics such as The Brain, Effective Communication Techniques, and Managing Challenging Behaviors. (Includes a Certificate of Completion per participant.)
3) Two-Day Training – This is our premium package and affords the participant in-depth training in the six areas of our program: Common Aging, The Brain, Effective Communication Techniques, Teamwork, Preparation & Process, and Managing Challenging Behaviors. Includes a Certificate of Completion for each participant.)
4) Program Development – For those organizations that have a dementia program, but want to expand its scope and effectiveness we will help you achieve this. We can also customize a niche program for those organizations that don’t already have one in place.
It is typically a 140 hour training over a period of 12 – 14 months depending on staff size. Program includes pre-observations and post-observations, the Two-Day training, marketing assistance, hands-on coaching of staff, and follow-up. (Please call for a proposal.)
